Hi everyone! Really have to apologise for my lack of entries recently. So now, I shall just write on all the interesting stuff that come to mind now =)

4th June 2004
Woke up at 0650h, to prepare myself for trip to Yorkshire Dales with Ruth and Vincent. It's very nice of Vincent to want to drive us up to the Dales, so that I can experience the English countryside, before flying tomorrow. I still don't feel as if I will be leaving the next day.

Went over to Ruth's place, Vincent is late... When he is finally here, he's all donned in Lowe Alpine shirt, track pants, food for the hike, extra windbreaker, etc... while me and Ruth look as if we are really for a trip to orchard road...

It has really been a very nice day, beautiful weather, scenic surroundings and the company of good friends. We came back to Leeds at about 3pm, thereafter, we were supposed to meet up again at about 5.45pm, so that I can have my pre-encounter lesson.

Feeling tired, I tried to go through my testimony which I will be sharing during the outreach later and took a nap... received the weirdest phone call from Jean, asking if Ruth is with me... Cooked macoroni soup and ate in a hurry, so that I won't be late...

Went over to Ruth's place. Shouted for her at her back door, no response, went to ring the bell at the front door, her housemate let me in, went up to second level, she's not in her room, went up another level, she's not in her housemates' room, went to kitchen, she not there either... called her and she seems to be at the chaplaincy, ask if I should go over directly, she said to just wait for her in her room, said that Vincent is not there yet... late as usual...

Soon, she was back and telling me about Vincent's lateness and asking me if I had eaten and whether I am hungry and stuff... Finally, we received a call that Vincent has arrived, we made our way down to chaplaincy...

Met Vincent as we were walking to the common room... He looked as if he's ready to concuss (think spelling not correct but u noe what i mean rite?), walking a little unsteadily...

He led the way into the common room, followed by me and Ruth... First thing I saw on the table was Ruth's speciality, cocktail almond jelly... "When in the world did she make that and didn't ask me to make it with her?" Then I got a shock as Ekio, Jean, Howern and various cell memebers jumped out at me! So pre-encounter lesson turned out to be surprise dinner for me... *touched* beyond words...

So, this is why, Ruth has been sleeping throughout the car joruney, must be tired, coordinating all this, why Jean had to call during peak hours to locate Ruth, why Ruth had asked me if I was hungry, why Vincent looked as if he is ready to sleep standing up... (he went shopping at 2am, to buy ingredients for this dinner, woke up at dun noe what time, drove us to the Dales, climbed with us, joked with us, drove us back, cooked rice and three dishes, coordinate the outreach programme...)

We tried to eat quickly, so as not to be late for the outreach...

I remember saying this to Ruth on the night she came over to give me the CD, showed me some verses from the bible... "Ruth, can you leave the Bible behind?"

Today, as I was sharing some verses to him, using that very same Bible, he asked, "Liting, can you leave the Bible with me?"

Hmm... must be that Bible! God's words are amazing!
