Phil3:13b-14 (NASB)

forgetting what lies behind, and reaching forward to what lies ahead, i press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Looking at the verse again, I realised that it says forgetting what lies behind, not forget what lies behind.

Seems to show that it is a process to forget, a constant act of the will to forget... not just a one-off act...

More encouraged now...

The Lord never fails to confirm what He really wants me to know, so that I'll definitely get His message.

For the past few weeks I've either received this verse on sms, read in books, heard in sermons and to top it off, pastor Melvyn preach the same message without using that verse!

"Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus"

And I was not sure what exactly He wanted me to forget... Ask SA to pray for me and she said to forget past achievements... many have survived adversity, but few have survived prosperity... only the one humbled before God...

Please pray for me because I'm finding it difficult to forget, to compare what I was like with what I am now... especially in the area of work... I'm finding it difficult to believe that God will bless my studies... Seems like the more I try to forget, the more I remember...

Please pray for breakthrough!

Yes, I believe I will overcome! And I pray that each remembrance of the past, will be each time of commiting the past to God! I will overcome because Christ lives in me!
