40 Years of Nation Building - The Future is Ours to Make

Happy Birthday, Singapore!

Went for the national day eve's concert yesterday. Guess I went particularly to support SP's Magic of Love. Brought my sm2s. Am really touched by some of them. I like the fireworks! It went on for quite a long time. ShiShan called it the musical firework cos the fireworks were somewhat synchronised with the music in the background. Somehow, the fireworks and the songs really stir up the nationalistic feelings in me.

I remember that I used to feel so much more for Singapore, this home, which I've grown up in. I thank God, for bringing me back to love this country again. It seems as if I've been so sad and unhappy to be back here, after UK. I don't even remember what happened during the last national day.

Ps Eugene preached about shaping the destiny of our nation last weekend. Yes, I do believe that each of our prayer can make a difference in the destiny of Singapore.

Back in NUS

First day of the new academic year 2005-2006. I decided to wake up at 6am, leave at 7am, and arrive on time for 8am lecture. The alarm rang at 6, I switched it off and thought I'll laze in bed for a while more...

A while more turned out to be 1h 40min. Woke up and realised that the sky is much too bright for 6am.. time turned out to be 0740. Shoved a slice of bread down my throat, threw on my usual shirt and jeans, left home in less than 10min, praying "please let the bus be there when i reach the bus stop". By now, u would've realised that I pray this kind of prayers alot... sigh... well, and by now, i've realised that He has never failed to answer my prayers! Praise God, for He is good! I pray that I won't be praying this type of prayers too often...

Hmm... made new friends sort of... I guess, in a way, we r all "forced" to make new friends, now that so many people have graduated and there's only a handful of familiar faces around... it's weird... but i know He will make all things beautiful in His time...
